		<description>Yes, I&#039;m very much a builder — that&#039;s largely why I&#039;m such a train game fanatic, as they offer the best mix of building and other interesting stuff, mostly finance and non-confrontational competition.
The problem right now is that as I have perhaps few long game opportunities each year, growing an experienced group in any single game is highly unlikely — but I do think 1830 will get better with more experience, so I&#039;m definitely not giving up on it.

I&#039;ve never been in an &quot;all newbie&quot; game of 1830. I suspect that it would play out as a rail building game, of which 1830 doesn&#039;t excel. Once players gain experience and see the nuances and robber baron aspects of 1830, the game takes on a whole new character.
